So my journey to VA ENT began back in November when I went to patient first for ear pain. Was told I had an ear infection and given an antibiotic, cool problem fixed, or so I thought! After finishing the antibiotic, still felt like it was a problem so about a week later went to the minute clinic, another round of antibiotics and this time antibiotic ear drops! This time it will be fixed…nope! Another trip to patient first a few weeks later and another round of antibiotics, that I decided not to take this time and try natural remedies that didn’t work. The problem was the feeling of fluid behind my ear drum that would come and go and congestion in my sinuses. So a month and a half of hell I was hopeful but skeptical that going to an ENT would help, but lo and behold it did. Saw Dr. Brager and he checked my ears and said I had this crystal like build up in my ears and asked if I used the antibiotic ear drops and I told him the second go round I did. He said let’s remove that and see how you feel. Once that stuff was out, I felt amazing and have not had that feeling of fluid in my ears anymore and my sinuses do not feel as clogged. Dr. Brager was quick and to point, explained everything and showed me the crystal like substance he removed. It truly is crazy how bad an ear problem can be and it’s crazy that Drs that aren’t specialists don’t tell you that something may not fix it or that antibiotic ear drops may cause something else.
In October of 2022, Dr. Van Himbergen saved my life for the 2nd time. The average for diagnosis of Wegener’s Disiese, now GPA, is 5 doctors and 3 years. Dr. Van was my 3rd doctor and diagnosed me in 8 months. There is certainly no complaint here with Dr. Van or any one else, or any thing else, associated with Va. EN&T. I have recommended Va. EN&T and Dr. Van at every opportunity I’ve had since he saved me the 1st time in March, 2010.
Great service answered all my questions. Very accommodating to suite my schedule.
First thing I want to say is THANK YOU Dr. Annesha Milien. My wife has been going through a lot of ENT problem. We have seen over 6 doctors with no insight on a cause or solution. Unfortunately, her situation became worst to the point that we had to go to the ER at 3am and things kept getting worst from there. My main reason for writing this review is because the office is closed today and we had to call the on call doctor, Dr Annesha Milien. Dr Milien walked us through the situation and assured us we are on the right path of treatment. After the first on-call call, things got worst and second ear ruptured. We called the on call service again and spoke to Dr Milien. She was so patient with us (even with all my questions and panicking). Even on the phone, I felt that she listened and gave us all the time to express our feelings and concerns. I am sure we were obnoxious on the phone (Hopefully this is understandable with the current medical emergency we were experiencing) But she stayed professional and assured us we are still on the correct path and even went above and beyond to make us feel more comfortable and made us feel like humans, not just a burden that is bothering her on the holiday. We hope you have an amazing new year and thank you for being a true caring doctor. Thank you
