This review is for Dr. Salley and nurses that work with him specifically, since it seems some people have had bad experiences here and I want to be clear about the limitations of this review. Our 3 year old had ear tube surgery last year and we’ve been coming for checkups or when something seems off. Even though our routine ear tube checkups only last 10 minutes or less, I always get the sense he is fully present, which goes to show you don’t have to be a jerk to be efficient. You can make patients feel heard and cared for at the same time. Other doctors could learn something from his style, to be honest. I usually leave feeling grateful we didn’t have to exceed our three year old’s attention span in an exam room (if you know, you know). We were in and out before any meltdowns could occur and I even asked him to also quickly check nose and mouth since we’re here because kids don’t let you see in there and I don’t know what to look for and just nice to have a benchmark. He didn’t hesitate, just did it and gave a concise assessment that was more than “it’s fine” but not overly elaborate. He also made sure to tell me they would renew the just in case ear drops medicine (I didn’t even think to ask myself about it). He’s relaxed, kind, and attentive to our son, and he listens and responds to parent concerns with eye contact and reassurance. And he was great through the entire ear tube procedure before and after, which for us was a little triggering since our son has had OHS as an infant. They do have a strict late policy and will enforce it, so be careful on that.
I honestly couldn’t say enough good things about the people at this office. I’ve had a deviated septum for as long as I could remember, I would even argue to say that it was severely deviated. I met with Dr. Burke to talk about a plan of action to correct it and allow me to breathe again. Not only was he thorough and kind, but he builds a relationship with his patients. This was my first surgery ever, I was scared and he reassured me that everything was going to be perfect. I’ve cried real tears since having my surgery done, the appearance of my nose alone has given me such a confidence boost. And I can finally breathe normally again. If you’re thinking about getting the surgery done, DO IT.
This place is run very efficiently. When you go for an appt and they need to check your sinuses, they numb you first, and then they let you see what they see. They answer your questions and explain what they see and what you are looking at. I found this part amazing! After this, they are quick to get you out. Sometimes, I don’t feel they listen enough. It’s like they deal with it so much they know what you’re going to say, so they just cut you off and send you on your way. They gave me a prescription, but it doesn’t meet my needs because it makes me very tired. I need to be alert at work. They never explained side effects either, and the prescription was expensive. I took it at night, but it left me not feeling well during the day. I felt like they wanted to get me in and out. That said, they are very knowledgeable. Lol, my drive was longer than my visit! The place is clean and the receptionist was friendly. I DID like that I wasn’t left to wait forever. The Dr. came in within 10 min! There are not many places you find that, but the trade-off is hurrying you out. They see a lot of people each day! Give them a try. These people gave me 2 sinus surgeries many years apart and did a fine job. They repaired things that no one knew were wrong until that surgery. I trust them, and that’s speaking volumes towards their skill! Give them a try! You will be pleased with the results!
We have seen Dr. Tyson several times for my son and have always had a wonderful experience. You can tell he knows what he’s talking about and is able to explain everything in way that’s easy to understand. He is great with my 2 year old that usually hates doctors. My son was smiling and cooperating during the visit which says a lot. The nurse is very friendly and the front staff too. Wait times are shorter than most places and the visit doesn’t take long at all. I would 100% recommend him and this office to anyone.
Dr Kenerson was amazing in diagnosing me it was fast and the staff were very kind. As well as Dr Albright, I’m happy I came here thank you.
