After calling different ENT offices for over an hour I reached VA ENT. No offices had a new patient appointments for at least 3 weeks. I called VAENT and tried 3x to get past the voicemail, but it was worth the effort. The receptionist scheduled an appointment for the next day for my son. We drove almost 1.5 hours to get to the Henrico office. We had to wait almost 35 minutes in the waiting room to see Dr. Brager. Once in the exam room it was another 10 minutes of waiting, but it was worth it. He was very though, asked my son a lot of questions and quickly diagnosed my son’s ear pain. My son got his prescriptions and is on his way to a feeling better. Although a lot of waiting was involved, seeing Dr. Brager was worth the effort. Very happy it all worked out for my son’s recovery.
Surgery day to place tubes for my 19 mo old went better then expected. The entire procedure was done in 10 min. The waiting room was kid friendly with coloring books and crayons pretty butterflies on the wall for him to look at. There were several children in the waiting room to have the same procedure. The doctor was very informative. They have a great system going. Experienced minimal pain after the procedure. We did give him ibuprofen for two days afterwards. Just because he would point to his ear to say boo boo. After he woke up from his second nap it was like nothing ever happened. I would highly recommend this procedure for any child experiencing multiple ear infections. Since the surgery my son has been happier more active looking healthier and has less temper tantrums and overall in better health. No sleep disturbances from ear infection pain. Great job!
