14 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE

A West Virginia native, Sarah Severs received her undergraduate degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from West Virginia University in 2006. She went on to obtain her Doctor of Audiology from James Madison University in 2010, during which time she completed a clinical fellowship at the University of Virginia. Sarah holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence through the American-Speech-Language-Hearing Association, is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and is licensed to dispense hearing aids in the state of Virginia.

Sarah joined the Virginia Ear Nose and Throat team in 2011, and she loves having the opportunity to help patients engage with their family and friends through better hearing. She comes from a family of ENTs, with both her father and paternal grandfather serving as ENT specialists in West Virginia. As an audiologist, Sarah is passionate about providing excellent care to her patients—she always tries her best to listen to their specific needs and have open communication about what treatment plan is in their best interest. Within the field of audiology, she is particularly interested in the diagnosis and treatment of hearing loss in adult and pediatric patients.

Outside of the office, Sarah enjoys spending time with her family and attending her kids’ sporting events. She also loves reading, exercising, traveling to the beach with her family each summer and exploring local restaurants.
