A Pennsylvania native, Alexandra completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Pittsburgh before earning her Doctor of Audiology from Arizona State University. She completed a clinical fellowship at the Pittsburgh VA Medical Center, and joined the Virginia ENT team in 2019.
Alexandra chose audiology because she has always had an interest in working with individuals with hearing loss. She took her first American Sign Language (ASL) course in the first grade, and has been extremely interested in hearing loss, treatment options and ASL since.
To Alexandra, being an audiologist is not just about fitting a person with a set of hearing aids, it is about the entire process—diagnosing the hearing loss through comprehensive testing, counseling the patient and family members about hearing loss and effective communication strategies, using best practice measures to fit devices appropriate for each individual’s needs and follow-up care. Alexandra’s favorite part about her job is getting to make a difference in people’s lives by helping them to hear things they missed out on before.
In her free time, Alexandra enjoys spending time with her husband, young son, yellow lab and cat. She also loves gardening and running.
